External access to buildings has changed from using key fobs to an application called Kindoo. With the Kindoo system now activate, fobs have been disabled (there is no need to turn them in). Using Kindoo provides enhanced security of our meetinghouses by providing a simpler way for leaders to manage access.
Who has access? Individuals with a calling that involves needing building access will receive an email invitation to install the Kindoo smartphone app and will have immediate access to their assigned building(s).
How does it work? Those with access will approach a building entrance and open the Kindoo app. The user’s smartphone connects to the Kindoo system via Bluetooth, then the application uses the phone’s data connection to check the user’s permissions and unlocks the door.
This system is not specific to our area, as it's been installed in many church buildings throughout the world. If you have any questions, please contact your ward building representative.
